Randomness is Fun

November 29th, 2007 | Category: Mina's Posts

Yesterday I got the flu, but today I’m feeling OK for some reason. I’ve been randomly taking things out of my good junk collection and randomly making things out of the random things I randomly choose, which turned out to not only be quite successful, but it also didn’t make my headache worse. I made some animal out of a broken ID card clip, a long piece of plastic, and some garden clips for example, and a face with glow in the dark eyes from a milk bottle cap and a glow in the dark Lego brick. So far, that way of making things for J for S has proved to be the most fun (or maybe I’m just bored because I’m sick).

A Mysterious Sign…

November 27th, 2007 | Category: Mina's Posts

Today when I was driving to school, my aproximately 5-year-old car reached 100,000 kilometers as I was passing a brick building adorned with the quote by Margret Mead; “Never doubt that a small group of committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.” It was really funny. Oh, and by the way, that car was owned by someone else before my family traded our car for it. Just because that car is well traveled does not mean I use it more frequently than necessary.

B-day

November 26th, 2007 | Category: Mina's Posts

Today is my birthday. My party was two days ago on the 24th. We had a walk in a forest at twilight and the moon was gigantic, especially through binoculars. Unfortunately, we didn’t see any beavers, but we saw lots of ducks.

The Letter Again

Later today I will mail the letter I wrote. I’ve gotten at least four teachers to sign it plus about twenty students and the principal. Hopefully it will make a difference!

Rats!

November 21st, 2007 | Category: Mina's Posts

The kids in my class who wanted to buy the sunset and ocean coloured bracelets I made would not buy them for $3 each so I lowered the price to $2. Today I also brought my pet rats to school, and they raised quite a bit of excitement. They where both very sleepy and my teacher set up a table where two students could sit and watch them. Even though the rats were sleeping most of the time the table was full almost all day.
